Your first longlist
Create the job post, set up what sourcing uses, run it and learn to read what it brings.
A longlist is the list of profiles sourcing brings for a job post, ranked against your criteria. This tutorial goes from an empty job post to your first closed longlist.
The Owner and Recruiters run sourcing, on a paid plan or the trial. A Collaborator can prepare everything before it too, and it works the same on Free: the job post, the criteria, the ideal profile and the searches.
Create the job post
| How | What happens |
|---|---|
| From the description | In the job post list, tap Create job post, paste the role's description and tap Analyze and create. Reclee fills in whatever the text says and marks what it filled as proposed |
| By hand | On the same screen, choose to fill in the six steps yourself |
| With Ask Reclee | Tell it about the role. It creates the job post as a draft, with every step proposed, and leaves you the link to review it |
The job post has six steps and saves itself at each one: if you leave, the draft waits for you.
| Step | What it asks for |
|---|---|
| Basic information | The role title, experience level, work arrangement, employment type, the client if there is one, the country and the city |
| Description | The role, the responsibilities and how the company presents itself |
| Requirements | What the role asks for and the screening questions, which candidates answer when they apply |
| Compensation | The range, the benefits and the conditions |
| Evaluation | The evaluation criteria and the recommendation threshold |
| Review and activate | Everything together, to review before activating it |
At the end, Activate the search takes it out of draft. To activate it you need the description, experience level, employment type, work arrangement, country and, if it isn't remote, the city. An active job post doesn't go back to draft.
If you created it from the chat, it stays as a draft until you open it and activate it.
Set up sourcing
When you activate the job post, Reclee takes you to Sourcing, on the Definitions tab. That's where the three things sourcing uses live. You write each one by hand or with Propose with Reclee, and you accept or dismiss what Reclee proposes before running.
| Block | What it is | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Sourcing criteria | What a profile has to show to be worth it. Up to ten | Order is weight: the top one counts the most, and dragging it changes everyone's score. Marking one as Required makes it a must-have: anyone who fails it is disqualified, wherever it sits in the list |
| Ideal profile | A portrait of who you're looking for: country, seniority, where they work today, titles, skills, languages and what you don't want | It doesn't score: it says where to look |
| Searches | The concrete queries sourcing runs. Up to five | Keep them broad. A search that already ran can't be edited: create a new one |
The criteria block also has the threshold: the score a profile has to pass to qualify.
Run sourcing
Open the setup
In Sourcing, tap Run new longlist. From the job post overview, Prepare the run takes you to the same place.
Check what it will use
The setup shows the job post, the criteria, the ideal profile and the searches. If Reclee's proposals are still pending, accept or dismiss them first.
Start
Tap Run search and, on the next screen, Search the first page. Nothing is spent until that button.
Let it keep going
From the first page on, sourcing keeps going by itself, even if you close the tab. Each page brings 20 profiles and takes about two minutes. It looks for 50 qualified people and evaluates at most 500 profiles.
If it pauses
If the searches stop performing, or it reaches the profile cap, sourcing pauses and asks what to do:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dig one more page | Searches one more page and asks again |
| Add more searches | Adds new searches to keep going |
| Close with N candidates | Closes the longlist with the ones it has |
You can also stop it whenever you want with Stop and close with what we have. And if this month's AI usage runs out, the longlist pauses and picks up by itself when usage comes back.
Read the longlist
The longlist closes by itself when it reaches 50 qualified people, or when you close it. From then on it's frozen, and each candidate enters the job post's pipeline as Sourced. You open it in Sourcing, on the Longlists tab.
Each row shows the Match score and, below it, the coverage: how much of your criteria's weight had evidence in the profile. A 100% with little coverage says less than a 77% with full coverage, and the list is ranked by both together. Below 30% coverage, a profile doesn't make it in.
| Mark | What it means |
|---|---|
| Qualified | Passed the threshold |
| Disqualified | The profile contradicts a must-have criterion |
| Unverified | The profile says nothing about a must-have criterion. Open it before discarding it |
When you open a candidate, the Evaluations tab shows each criterion with its result: Good fit, Fit, Bad fit or No data, and why. No data doesn't count against them: that criterion stays out of the score.
From the longlist you filter by score, by the result on one criterion or by the search that brought each person, and you export the list.
Run it again
To get a new longlist, change the ideal profile or a search: if nothing changed, the button stays off. What you change applies to the next longlist; the ones already closed stay as they were.
On Free
On Free you set everything up the same way, but running sourcing needs the trial or a paid plan. The trial banner takes the Owner to start it: 14 days of Starter, no card.
