Roles and seats

The four roles in a workspace, what each one can do and why only two take a seat.

Updated on October 1, 2026

In Spanish: Dueño, Reclutador, Colaborador, Lector and Asiento.

What it is

Each workspace member has one of four roles. Two take a seat, which is what you pay for.

RoleWhat they can doSeat?
OwnerEverything, plus the team, the plan and billingYes
RecruiterEverything the Owner does, except the team and billingYes
CollaboratorAll the work that doesn't cost: building job posts, moving candidates, interviewing, evaluating, the CRM. Uses Ask Reclee with team usageNo
ViewerSee everything, without changing anythingNo

A member can be active, have a pending invitation or be inactive.

What it's for

So the whole team gets in, including people who don't search: the agency coordinator, the client's hiring manager, the interviewer. You pay for whoever searches, and everyone else gets in free.

Where you see it

In Settings, Team section, where the Owner invites, changes roles and deactivates. When a role can't do something, the screen says who can.

What needs a seatWhy
Running sourcing and quick searchIt spends AI usage
Finding contact infoIt spends credits
Enriching profiles and calculating the Match scoreIt spends AI usage
API keys and MCPThey give access to all of the above

What it gets mixed up with

Mixed up withThe difference
A job post's assigneeWhoever answers for that job post, whatever their role. See Assignee and subscribers
The clientThe client isn't a member: they see the shortlist link, with no account. A Viewer is someone on your side

Why it works this way

You pay for whoever searches. What costs is searching: sourcing's AI usage and contact info. Coordinating, interviewing and evaluating don't cost, so it makes no sense to charge whoever only does that.

Collaborators and Viewers are unlimited on every plan, so nobody on the team is left out because of the price.

How it's calculated

PlanSeats
Free and StarterUp to 3
ProNo limit

On a paid plan, adding an Owner or a Recruiter charges the seat right away. Moving someone to Collaborator or Viewer frees their seat.
