Sourcing and quick search
The two ways to search for profiles outside, with a job post or without one, and what enriching is.
In Spanish: Sourcing, Búsqueda rápida and Enriquecer.
What it is
| What it is | |
|---|---|
| Sourcing | Searching for profiles for a job post: running its searches, scoring each profile against its criteria and building the longlist |
| Quick search | Searching for profiles from the chat, with no job post, one page of 20 at a time |
| Enrich | Bringing the full profile of someone a search brought summarized: their experience, education, skills and languages |
What it's for
Sourcing is the real search: it leaves a ranked longlist ready to reach out to. Quick search is for seeing who's out there before setting up a job post, or for finding someone specific.
Where you see it
| Where | |
|---|---|
| Sourcing | In each job post's Sourcing, with Run new longlist |
| Quick search | In Ask Reclee, in Find talent mode. Results open in the work panel, with Bring more |
| Enrich | On the person's profile, with Enrich profile, or for several at once in the talent pool |
All three spend AI usage and are done by the Owner and Recruiters. When you search from the chat, every page of results stays in your talent pool.
What it gets mixed up with
| Mixed up with | The difference |
|---|---|
| The talent pool search | It looks among the people you already have, and spends nothing. Sourcing and quick search look outside, in the provider |
| A sourcing search | It's one of the queries a job post's sourcing runs. A quick search isn't saved as any job post's search. See Ideal profile and searches |
| Update from LinkedIn | It brings again the public profile of someone already enriched. Enriching is the first time |
Why it works this way
Sourcing scores and quick search doesn't. Without a job post there are no criteria to measure against, so quick search shows you who's out there, and sourcing tells you who's worth it.
Sourcing keeps going on its own. A run takes time: each page of 20 profiles is searched, enriched and scored in about two minutes. That's why it continues even if you close the tab, and lets you know when it's done.
A chat search isn't saved as a job post's search. A job post's searches are deliberate, ordered queries; a chat search slipping in among them would be noise for sourcing.
How it's calculated
Each page of 20 profiles spends AI usage, in sourcing and in quick search. Sourcing also spends on enriching and scoring each profile. How much is left in the month is in AI usage and credits.
