Public profile and workspace profile

A person's two profiles, where each one comes from, who edits them and how up to date they are.

Updated on October 1, 2026

In Spanish: Perfil público and Perfil del workspace. On screen, the workspace one says Own or Our version today.

What it is

Each person can have two profiles, and they never mix:

Where it comes fromWho sees itCan it be edited?
Public profileThe data provider, with what the person published on LinkedInIt's the same for every workspace that has themNo
Workspace profileA CV, a manual entry or what your team editsOnly your workspaceYes, and each change leaves a version

The CV is the file as it arrived. When you upload one, Reclee reads it and builds a version of the workspace profile from it.

What it's for

The public one gives you a starting point without entering anything. The workspace one keeps what your team knows and the provider doesn't: a newer CV, something the person told you, a correction.

Where you see it

On the person's profile, in the talent pool and in the ATS. A switcher at the top picks what to look at: the workspace profile, LinkedIn or each CV.

ActionWhat it does
Edit the workspace profileCreates a new version, without overwriting the previous one. Versions shows each one, with its source
Upload a CVAdds the CV as a new version. Spends AI usage
Enrich profileIf the person arrived summarized, brings their full profile: experience, education, skills and languages. Spends AI usage
Update from LinkedInAsks the provider for the public profile again. Spends AI usage

Each person shows how up to date their data is: Up to date, May have changed or Out of date.

What it gets mixed up with

Mixed up withThe difference
The longlistIt keeps its own copy of each profile's data, from when it was built. If the public profile is updated later, the delivered longlist stays the same
The talentThe talent is the person. The profiles are their data. See Talent, candidate and application

Why it works this way

The public one can't be edited because it's the same for everyone: if one workspace could change it, it would change the data for the others. What you correct goes in your workspace profile.

The workspace one doesn't leave your workspace. A CV someone sent you isn't public data about the person, and no other workspace sees it.

They never mix so a provider update doesn't overwrite what your team edited, and what your team edited isn't shown to anyone else.

How it's calculated

Data ageSince the last change
Up to dateLess than 90 days
May have changedFrom 90 days to a year
Out of dateMore than a year

Enrich doesn't charge again if the profile is already up to date: if the provider has nothing newer, or less than 30 days have passed.
