Ask Reclee: everything from the chat
Where the chat is, what you can ask it and how you review what it does.
Ask Reclee is Reclee's chat. Tell it what you need and it does it with your team's data: find candidates, build a job post, move someone to another stage or see how a process is going.
Where it is
| Where | How to open it |
|---|---|
| The home screen | It's the first thing you see when you open Reclee |
| Any other screen | With the Ask Reclee button on the bottom bar, or the C key. It opens in a window on the right |
| The sidebar | In Chat mode, the sidebar lists your conversations. In App mode, the sections |
The window stays open while you move around. You can minimize it, open it full screen or close it. Minimizing doesn't stop the answer it's writing; closing does, and next time you start a new conversation.
Your first request
Write what you need
For example: Find React developers in Buenos Aires with five years of experience, or How is the Senior React Native Engineer job post going? Enter sends and Shift + Enter adds a line break.
The cards on the home screen are examples: tap one and its text lands in the box, and you decide whether to send it.
Check what it's talking about
If you open the chat from a job post or from a talent, a chip with its name shows up above the box: Reclee understands you're talking about that. If you're not, remove it with the cross. Removing it changes the messages that follow, not the ones you already sent.
Confirm what it's about to do
Before changing anything or spending, Reclee shows you a card with what it's going to do, with Confirm and Cancel. If an answer brings several, they run once you've answered all of them. If you keep typing without answering, they expire and nothing happens.
Review what the AI writes
What the AI generates isn't confirmed in the chat: it lands on its own screen for you to review. Interview questions, and the answers drawn from a transcript, show up for review in the candidate's profile. The scorecard arrives as a proposal you adopt, edit or discard. And a new job post stays as a draft, with every step proposed.
Modes
Next to the box is the mode. Each one narrows what Reclee can do, so it gets things wrong less often.
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Auto | Reclee decides what to use. Every new conversation starts here |
| Answer only | Reads your data and changes nothing |
| Find talent | Searches, enriches and saves people |
| Build a job post | The job post, its ideal profile, criteria and sourcing |
| Pipeline | Moves, comments on and evaluates candidates |
| CRM | Leads, contacts and requests |
If you ask for something the mode doesn't cover, it tells you and suggests switching. The mode is saved with each conversation.
Skip permissions
Next to the mode is Skip permissions. When it's on, Reclee takes actions without showing you the card, including the ones that spend usage or credits. It only applies to that conversation and stays saved there: use it when you know exactly what you asked for.
What it can and can't do
| Request | Examples | What it spends |
|---|---|---|
| Read | Your pipeline, your job posts, your talent pool, your leads and how each process is going | AI usage |
| Do | Move stages, comment, add labels and tags, build lists, create leads and requests | AI usage |
| Generate | A full job post, its criteria, interview questions, the scorecard | AI usage |
| Search outside | Find talent, run sourcing, bring someone's full profile, find contact info | AI usage and, for contacts, credits |
When you find talent from the chat, every page of results stays in your talent pool.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't delete anything but a list, and it doesn't publish job posts, upload CVs, write to candidates or schedule anything for later.
Usage
Every message spends AI usage, and you see it as a percentage: from 80% on, a line above the box shows how much you've used and when it comes back. There's also a limit every five hours; if you reach it, it tells you what time it comes back.
| Who | What they spend |
|---|---|
| Owner and Recruiter, on a paid plan or the trial | The plan's AI |
| Collaborators, and the whole team on Free | Team usage |
When it runs out, a banner says so. Only the Owner sees the buttons to buy credits or change plans; everyone else sees who to ask.
Who can use it
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner and Recruiter | Everything |
| Collaborator | Everything that doesn't search outside: they can't find talent, run sourcing or find contact info. If they ask, Reclee tells them to ask someone with a seat |
| Viewer | Doesn't write in the chat. Sees the conversations they already had, read-only |
Your conversations
Every conversation is saved in the sidebar's Chat mode. From its menu you rename it, pin it to the top or delete it. They're yours: nobody else on the team sees them. If something in an answer is useful to the rest, save it in a note on the job post or the talent.
Reclee remembers what you talked about in that conversation, not in the others.
To get started
Open Reclee and ask how your busiest job post is going.
