Talent pool
Your workspace's own talent base, what goes in, lists, each person's status and duplicates.
In Spanish it's also Talent pool.
What it is
The talent pool is your workspace's talent base: everyone your team brought in, uploaded or added, across all job posts. It grows with each search and it's yours alone.
| Comes in through | How |
|---|---|
| Sourcing | A run or a quick search brought them |
| Manual entry | You added them, or pasted their LinkedIn |
| CV upload | You uploaded their CV |
| Careers page | They applied to a role, or left their CV without applying to anything |
What it's for
So the next search doesn't start from scratch. Whoever you found for one job post can fit another, and what your team knows about that person, their tags, notes and CVs, is still there.
Where you see it
In the Talent pool, with its search, its filters and each person's profile.
Lists
A list groups people by hand, to work on them together. When you create it you choose whether it's private, only yours until you share it, or shared, for the whole team. Deleting it doesn't delete anyone, and only whoever created a list edits it.
| Relationship status | Who |
|---|---|
| Available | Not active in any job post |
| In process | Active in some job post |
| Placed | Hired in some job post |
| Discarded | Went through job posts and aren't active in any |
Statuses are list filters, and they're worked out on their own from what happens in the job posts.
What it gets mixed up with
| Mixed up with | The difference |
|---|---|
| The longlist | A longlist is the frozen result of one run. The talent pool is everything, and it changes. See Longlist and shortlist |
| Quick search | It searches outside, in the provider. The talent pool search looks among the people you already have |
| CRM people | They're your clients' people, not candidates. See Lead and funnel |
Why it works this way
It belongs to the workspace. What your team brought in and knows about each person is your work, and no other workspace sees it.
A person is only one, even if two searches bring them. If they show up twice, you can merge them: you pick which one stays, and their applications, notes, tags, lists, contacts and CVs move to it. Merging can't be undone.
Someone who went through a job post can't be removed from the talent pool, because their history in that search is part of what was delivered.
How it's calculated
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Possible duplicate | An email that came in through your careers page and was already on two different people. You review it in Possible duplicates: merge them, or mark them as not the same person |
| Relationship status | It comes from their applications: whether any is active, whether any reached Hired or whether all were left out |
