Assignee and subscribers
Who answers for a job post and who gets its notifications.
Updated on October 1, 2026
In Spanish: Responsable and Suscriptores.
What it is
| What it is | |
|---|---|
| Assignee | The person who answers for a job post. There's only one |
| Subscribers | The people who get the job post's notifications: new applications, fit changes, the client opening the shortlist |
What it's for
The assignee is who to ask how a job post is going. Subscribers find out what happens without having to go and look.
Where you see it
| Where it's picked | Where it shows | |
|---|---|---|
| Assignee | Step 1 of the wizard, or Job data in the job post settings | The job post list and the Overview |
| Subscribers | The job post's Overview, with Add and Remove | The Overview |
When someone is made assignee, they get a notification. Which notifications subscribers get is in Notifications.
What it gets mixed up with
| Mixed up with | The difference |
|---|---|
| The Owner | It's a workspace role. The assignee belongs to a job post, and can have any role. See Roles and seats |
| Whoever launched sourcing | Sourcing notifications go to whoever launched it, subscribed or not |
Why it works this way
A single assignee, so there's always someone to ask. With two, each thinks the other is on it. That's why the assignee can't be removed from the subscribers.
Job post notifications go to subscribers and not to everyone, so nobody gets news about searches they don't follow.
